Beginning March 29th and ending May 23rd, Haggen Foods is sponsoring a fundraiser for multiple nonprofits. The Haggen Foods on Meridian Street in Bellingham has chosen Heartbeat Serving Wounded Warriors® as the nonprofit they would like to sponsor. Please support Heartbeat and our Equine Therapy Program by shopping at this store and telling them you want to donate and support Heartbeat. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Our Equine Therapy Program helps not only Wounded Warriors but also any disabled child of a Wounded Warrior. We offer this therapy at no cost to the warrior or child. Help them heal!
Heartbeat is extremely grateful to the Allison Foundation for their generous donation to our Back-to-School Program. With their help, Heartbeat was able to buy new school supplies for the children of our Special Forces and Ranger Units. Because of the support by the Allison Foundation, these children will have a great start to the new school year. THANK YOU!
In 1868, when General John A. Logan designated May 30 as “Decoration Day”, he did so for the purpose “of preserving and strengthening those kind and fraternal feelings which have bound together the soldiers, sailors, and marines who united to suppress the late rebellion.”
Today, Memorial Day, as it’s now known, continues to bring our hearts together to remember our fallen brothers, fathers, sisters, mothers. Lives worthy of honor, remembrance, and gratitude.
