Heartbeat is very grateful to the 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus Bothell Area for doing this amazing work to gather donations and funds for our annual Christmas Stocking program.

The beautiful Patriotic Quilt will be raffled off this weekend during a special Degree Ceremony of the Knights of Columbus.  All proceeds will be given to your Christmas Stocking Program.   Representatives from all around Washington State will be there.  I will be handing out the Christmas Stocking flyers and pamphlets about Heartbeat as well.

Here is more information about the people that made the quilt:

This quilt was pieced, assembled and constructed by Janice D. Ochoa of Duvall, WA.  It was primarily made from pieces of fabric in her “Red, White and Blue” collection accumulated through her many years of quilting.  She a long-time, active patriot, having been ‘in the fight’ for about fifty years!  It was a challenge and most of all, an honor to be asked to make this quilt.  The beautiful quilting was designed and stitched by Al and Sheila Hooper of Woodinville, WA…Al did most of it, we understand!  The quilting really makes any quilt!  It was truly a privilege to make this quilt, and an honor that you have chosen it for Wounded Warriors!
